geo_unhash

The geo_unhash command converts Geohash values to strings of the form latitude,longitude, as required by Prelert geographic functions. (Geohash values are a possible format for data stored in Elasticsearch geo_point fields.)

  • single input
  • single output
  • default output fieldname: “latLong”
  • no arguments

Example

Convert a Geohash value to a comma separated string containing latitude,longitude.

In this example the following input data

time,                 location,     count
2015-03-01 01:00:00Z, drm3btev3e86, 5

would transform to look like this:

time,                 location,     count, latLong
2015-03-01 01:00:00Z, drm3btev3e86, 5,     41.119999922811985,-71.34000029414892
